"Hello Rock, Hope all is well. The 930 A/C system we got from you a couple years ago is still going strong without losing an ounce of freon and still pumping out low 30's out of the vents. Customer absolutely loves it!!! Thank you! Taso K. TKX Performance Inc"

"Edward and Rock, I would just like to say thank you for such great service and putting together such a well thought out kit. The packaging was also very impressive. I don't see that sort of attention to detail anymore in the aftermarket automotive industry so unboxing your kit was an absolute pleasure. Thanks again and keep up the good work!. Mark"

"Rock, I purchased a 911 AC Upgrade kit. I called a few times with questions. Every time I called my questions were answered leaving me with a full understanding of what I need to do. This is one of the best upgrades I have done and I recommend it to everyone I meet who owns a Porsche of this era. But I enjoy every hot day I drive my car. I look forward to it. I don't sweat the hot days anymore. Jack S."

"Rock, I am very happy with the Air Conditioning kit I purchased for my 1967 Jaguar XKE. The service and support was excellent. I made two telephone calls for installation support and all my questions were quickly and courteously answered. I'm glad to recommend this company and product to others and have recommended this kit and showed it to other XKE owners. Robert B."

"Rock, I bought the early MGB A/C Kit, but with some modifications I made it work in my 1969 MGC GT. I am very satisfied with your personnel and products. I have recommended your company to many other MGC owners at numerous national events and car shows. My A/C is so cold, my wife has to wear jeans and a jacket when we are in the car!!! Craig C."

"Rock, I purchased and installed your upgrade kit in my 1988 3.2 Porsche Carerra about six months ago and have been waiting for some hot weather to try it out. Went out in 35°C (95°F) and temp switch on setting 1 and fan never above 2nd setting or else car was getting to cold. Compressor was cutting in for hardly 30% of the time. Results better than I hoped for and now waiting for 40°C (105°F) day for ultimate test. Heading for a hot summer in Victoria, Australia so will be able to enjoy car. Cheers, Murray P."

"Rock, I am impressed with the design of the evaporator, being non rusting material with provision for drainage of condensation and having much enhanced performance compared to the origianl factory unit but looks pretty much like the original one. So I am quite happy with the service and the product and a number of members of the XKE register of the local Jaguar club are very interested in the system. John A."

"I just purchased a 1975 MGB in Richardson, Texas that the previous owner had installed your RetroAir. Not sure when he installed it. but I was suprised at how well it works. It cools the cockpit of the MGB very well and was very quiet. My previous MGB had dealer installed AC that I could never get to work correctly. Your AC is great."

"Rock, yesterday was the first time I had a chance to check out the AC using the thermostat and speed settings noted below and the AC was a great success. It was 86 degF and we were in stop and go traffic on the way to the beach and the AC kept us nice and cool. My wife actually ask me to make it warmer. Alex and Neal at Euro Tech did a great job on the install and worked with me as I learned how to use the system. I guess I was too use to the auto temp control on my Bimmer. The only real problem from day 1 was operator error (mine) in not keeping the system from freezing up. I know I made the right choice in selecting RetroAir for my Porsche AC. Thanks again for a great product, Ron S."

"Rock, The compressor works great for my 328 GTS and I have cold air for the first time in 8 years. I’m not sure what other components Apex may have purchased from you, but the compressor arrived on time and with all of the necessary brackets etc. It was very satisfactory and I have already told two other 328 owners who want to update to R-134 also. Thanks, Jim D."

"Hi Rock, I bought a full kit, including compressor upgrade and blower motor upgrade for a 1980 Porsche 911 SC. No issues ordering or getting what I needed. Kit was shipped promptly and prices were competitive. I did the installation and system charging myself. Everything was included to replace almost all of the factory A/C components and it’s worked well through 3 Arizona summers. I have recommended RetroAir on several 911 bulletin board A/C threads. "Rock, Just wanted to give you a THANK YOU on the Sanden Behr air conditioning compressor purchased from you early Sept 2013. First of all I purchased a second hand so called working York Compressor for a lot of money which lasted 1 run only. The new unit fits perfectly and does not look out of place in the compact Ferrari 308 engine compartment. The new unit is much smaller and suits the 3.0 litre engine more so than the oversized useless York Compressor. Installation was easier than the removal of the York Compressor as the Sanden Behr is half the size and weight. I could not believe all the parts supplied with the new unit and NOTHING extra was needed to be purchased. The efficiency of the new Sanden Behr Compressor is amazing, as all the 308 Ferrari’s suffer from hot air creeping into the passenger compartment. The Sanden Behr Compressor runs nice and COLD and has little effect on the engine at idle and the new magnetic clutch is silent when engaging. Therefore I HIGHLY recommend the Retro Air Conversion Kit for the Ferrari 308 as it is simple to install and the efficiency is amazing. Why buy 2nd hand when you can buy brand new from Retro Air. Kind Regards, Frank V"

"Rock, The AC in my 911 is now superb! Instead of running at max settings and only getting slightly cool air, I can run it at lower settings and actually be cold on a hot and humid day. For the first time since buying the car I get water condensation puddles on the ground. I rave about your AC system, which I installed myself, to other 911 owners. Regards, Bill S"

"Rock, I was actually going to write to you and tell you how amazing that the A/C has been transformed into something that actually works, and even in Saudi Arabia’s 45c + (115f +) temperatures, it actually cools the car down. Honestly, in those temps, it doesn’t ‘blow ice’ but then I haven’t been in a car that does out here, so yes, I am more than completely satisfied. My mechanic also said that the components:- hoses, evaporator and condensers were of excellent quality and far superior than the 1988 Porsche factory ones. Again, many many thanks for this excellent product and your service"

"Hi Rock, Many thanks for the aircon kit for my Jag, which arrived on Friday morning at my wife’s work. I am very impressed with the quality of the components, but then as I work for a company based in Seattle I am used to quality American engineering. I have checked the contents thoroughly and everything on the list is there and has suffered no damaged; no doubt due to it being so well packed. Peter"

Rock, I checked temperature today (4/22/13 - 88 degrees ambient) and it was 32 degrees. This was sitting in driveway with engine at 1200 rpm. AWESOME!! One suggestion I think straight fittings for the high and low valves would be better for the compressor. I bought those at auto store. The ones you furnished are hard to tighten and easy to loosen when putting gauges on. Great system and easy to install. Thanks.

"About 18 months ago I purchased a kit from you to replace the factory air in my 1977 Carrera 3.0 911. The only parts I used from the original factory air was the two control switches on the center console.
It is time to tell all what a good Kit this was and how well it works in our hot summers. I installed in my garage over two weekends, then took it to shop to be gassed. I now have a really cold Porsche. I put a guage in the vent on the dash. I run the system about 5 deg C vent temp. It runs about 40% duty cycle at this temp. The thermostat knob is at about 40%. During the summer I turned the control onto the coldest setting to see what it would do, I was amazed, at road speed with 38 deg C (100 deg F) outside the vent gauge went to minus 1.7 deg C. About 29 deg F. I have the picture to show this. How good is that. A system that keeps the Porsche cold with high outside temps and not working! Thank you for designing a great system at a good price. I would recommend your system to any Porsche owner. My system only had the Condenser under the Boot Lid. I do not have the front condenser nor do I need it. I have the upgraded Fan motor in the Evaporator box, it is good value. I do not see why other designers need that stupid installation behind the rear wheel when a good design close to the original works better than expected. Thanks and regards Danny Carter"

"Alumminum Radiator with electric fan is the only answer in our climates -- an oil cooler seals the deal. I have all three on my 65 E Type and it never gets over 70C no matter the ambient temp! I like RetroAir. Used their stuff on my 120 and E with great results!!"
May 30, 2012 Ferrrari 308GTB
"A year or two ago Mr. Rock Browning at RetroAir in Dallas, designed a modern retrofit A/C for the 308GTB/S using my car as the Guinea pig. I did the installation at home in my garage, but got lazy and didnt change the hoses. With everything else installed we pulled a vacuum on the system and it held. We then charged the system with R134a and the A/C blew cold air. I then put the car away for the winter. Last week I discovered that the R134a had leaked down so I opened the system, replaced the drier and all the o-rings. I then took the car to my neighborhood shop and put it on the vacuum pump. The pump pulled a good hard vacuum and it held beautifully all night. Yesterday morning they began the charge only to discover a leak! Fortunately, Rock provided a set of new hoses when he did the retrofit kit. They were sitting in my storage unit untouched since he shipped them. This morning I picked them up and dropped them off at the mechanic's shop. They are replacing both hoses today then repeating the evacuation and recharge process. So here's the bottom line, Rock emphatically suggested that I change the hoses while I had the system apart - but I didnt do so. Now Im paying someone to do it for me. Im a slow learner. I do look forward to that blast of ice cold air again!"

"We completed the upgrade and charged the system last week and everything is working fine. Getting about 35 deg at the vents and lots of air from the new blower motor.", "All in all about 15 hurs of my time to get the new hoses, evaporator upgrades and the new rear condenser in and another 2 hours for the A/C techs to fix an existing front condenser issue, oil and test the charge system.", "The car is much more pleasant to drive, even with the Targa top off. The low setting on the A/C prevents the cabin from warming up and everything is cool with the top on.", "I got quite excited when I saw the drips of water from the evaporator on my garage floor. Never seen that before!!!!"
Julien LeBleu Jaguar XKE V12
"Rock I got the air installed and the system charged. It was blowing 32 degrees inside and does not seem to have added much to the heat of the radiator temperature. You were correct the small size of the condenser does not tell the story of how good a job it does. Very pleased. Using the existing evaporator does not seem to be a problem as far as match and working with R134 A."
